Charleston Named Top-Five City By Travel Magazine

(Charleston, SC) — Charleston has cracked the top-five as one of the best cities in America, according to “Travel + Leisure” magazine’s World’s Best Awards. Charleston was ranked fourth according the magazine’s readers, up from number-six in 2007. The South Carolina city trails only New York City, San Francsico and Quebec City in the U.S./Canada division. Three Charleston hotels were ranked in the top-100. Planters Inn was ranked eighth, Kiawah Golf Resort was ranked 16th and Charleston Place was ranked 22nd. The magazine has a circulation of around one-million readers.
