Fall is here! You can feel a slight cool breeze early in the morning and in the evenings, even though it’s still mid eighties during the day and those pesky mosquitos are still hanging around.
Here are some upcoming events where you may want to get out and enjoy lovely fall weather in Charleston:
* The MOJA Festival runs from Sept. 24 through Oct 4th. This festival is a celebration of African American and Carribean arts, including dance, poetry, storytelling, theater, ethnic food, etc. Click here for more info: http://www.mojafestival.com/moja2009/
*The Fall Tour of Homes and Gardens begins Sept 24th and runs through Oct. 25th. This fundraising tour takes you to private gardens and homes, churches and public buildings. Click here: http://www.preservationsociety.org/tour_dates.asp
If you’re looking for something a little more active, there’s a Folly Beach Challenge this weekend- a triathlon featuring kayaking, biking and running. Registration is done through the Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission- http://www.ccprc.com/index.aspx?NID=1134
